EAC Certified OTA-1500 220V single-phase portable air-cooled handheld fiber laser welding machine, equipped with local technical support
Welding principle 
This is a fiber optic handheld laser welding equipment. The laser generates high-energy fiber laser, which is transmitted through the fiber to the handheld welding gun. It is focused to form a high-density light spot, instantly melting the metal substrate. The welding gun moves to cool the molten pool and form the weld. The weld seam is narrow, with minimal thermal deformation, and no heavy grinding is required. 
2. Core principle of air-cooling cooling method 
Abandoning water cooling machines, water tanks, and circulation piping, this design adopts matrix heat sinks combined with high-speed centrifugal fans to force air convection, directly removing the heat from the laser and welding gun; the entire machine integrates an integrated cooling system, requiring no water, antifreeze, or coolant, and can be used immediately upon power-on. 
II. Main Power Specifications 
The mainstream power ratings of air-cooled models on the market: 800W / 1000W / 1200W / 1500W / 2000W 
- 800–1200W: Suitable for welding 0.3–2mm thin plates, advertising signs, small hardware items, and repairs.
- 1500–2000W: Suitable for welding 0.5–3mm sheets, doors and windows, kitchenware, and outdoor steel structures. 
The maximum wind-cooled power is 2000W. There is no 2500W/3000W wind-cooled models. For high-power and high-load applications, water cooling is recommended. 
III. Core Structure Composition 
1. Mainframe enclosure: Laser + air-cooling module + touch control system, weighs 25–40kg, with wheels/handles, suitable for single-person handling
2. Handheld air-cooling welding gun: No water cooling pipeline, lighter gun body; supports one-click switch of 3 preset welding processes, with status indicator ligh


3. Independent wire feeder (standardized as three-in-one/four-in-one): Automatic wire feeding, solves gap welding; optional single wire feeding or double wire feeding
4. Multi-functional module: The new models are mostly four-in-one integrated machines: welding, laser rust removal and cleaning, cutting, and weld seam polishing integrated. 
IV. Core Advantages 
1. Ultra-portable, mobile operation
The entire machine weighs 25-40kg and is compact in size; it is suitable for construction barriers, outdoor advertising, high-altitude maintenance, and on-site equipment repair; water-cooled machines typically weigh 80-120kg and cannot be used for off-site construction.
2. Zero waterway maintenance, extremely low operation cost
There is no risk of water leakage, scale formation, or freezing damage; no need to replace water or antifreeze regularly; only once a year to clean the dust on the heat dissipation fins is sufficient; small businesses and individuals are the preferred choice.
3. Start welding immediately, no waiting time
For water-cooled machines, it is necessary to preheat the water temperature; in winter, the waiting time is longer; for air-cooled machines, they start immediately upon power-on and can be turned off at any time, with higher intermittent production efficiency.
4. Energy-saving and low noise
The power consumption of the entire machine is 30%-50% lower than that of water-cooled machines; the operating noise is ≤ 60dB, and it does not disturb small stores or laboratories.
5. Strong environmental adaptability
It can be operated outdoors in extremely low temperatures without the risk of waterway icing damaging the equipment; only need to avoid severe dust environments (accumulated dust affects heat dissipation).
6. Excellent welding effect
The heat affected zone is small, and the workpiece does not deform; the weld seam is smooth, and the amount of grinding work is much lower than that of argon arc welding. 
V. Weaknesses and Applicable Limitations 
1. Limited working duration
The air cooling efficiency is much lower than that of water. For high-power full welding, continuous operation for 10-15 minutes requires intermittent cooling; it is suitable for intermittent, small-batch production but not for 24-hour automated assembly lines operating at full capacity.
2. Weak thick plate welding capability
The stable welding limit for 2000W air-cooled system is 3mm. For thick plates larger than 3mm and large batches, water cooling is required.
3. Higher purchase price for the same power
The cost of dedicated air-cooled laser units and phase change heat dissipation structures is higher. Compared to water-cooled systems, the cost is 3000-5000 yuan higher for the same power.
4. Regular dust cleaning required in dusty environments
Dust blocking the heat dissipation fins will trigger overheating protection and cause the machine to stop. The metalworking workshop needs to increase dust removal.
